Events, tours & the public side

Not everyone who touches your space has an account, and MakerOps doesn’t make them get one. The public side runs on tokenized links and opt-in public pages.

Public pages

Your space can publish public views — an equipment catalog, upcoming events, tour booking — on its own address, and each is embeddable in your existing website. What appears is controlled by per-item visibility flags: nothing is public unless you marked it public.

Events and sessions

Events (classes, open houses, workshops) carry one or more sessions with capacity. Visitors sign up with just an email — the confirmation carries a tokenized link to view or cancel, no login needed. If a visitor later becomes a member, their event history links to the new account. Staff manage rosters and attendance in the platform.

Tour requests

A public tour-request form feeds a staff queue with scheduling and email templates; confirmations and reminders can also go by text message where enabled. Tour scheduling is managed on the web.

Visitor waivers

Waivers are signed at a public link — on the visitor’s own phone or a front-desk device — with a fork for signing for yourself or for your child. Signed waivers attach to the person’s record and count toward the same requirements that machine access checks. Waiver content is authored per space, in blocks, with versioning: a new waiver version can require re-signing.

Announcements and messaging

Staff can post announcements to the membership, and discussion threads support @mentions with per-person notification preferences across in-app, push, and email channels.
