Delete your account

You can permanently delete your MakerOps account at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
In the mobile app
The fastest way, if you can still sign in:
- Open the MakerOps app and sign in.
- Go to More → Delete account.
- Read the summary, type DELETE to confirm, then tap Permanently delete my account.
Your account is deleted right away and every device is signed out.
By email
If you cannot sign in — you have lost access, or you no longer have the app — email hello@makerops.ai from the address on your account with the subject Account deletion request. We verify the request before acting on it and confirm by email once it is done, normally within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your ability to sign in, on every device — all active sessions are revoked.
- Your membership in every organization is deactivated.
- Your login credentials, email addresses, phone number, and any two-factor authentication secrets.
- Your profile photo.
- Your emergency contacts — including the name and phone number of anyone you listed, who is not themselves a MakerOps user.
Deleting some data without closing your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove specific information. While signed in you can, at any time:
- Remove your profile photo, from the app or the web app.
- Remove or change your emergency contacts, and your personal email address and phone number, under contact settings. Note that some organizations require emergency contact details before you may use certain equipment or rooms, so clearing them may affect your access.
- Delete comments you posted.
For anything else, email hello@makerops.ai and say what you want removed. The same 30-day response applies.
What your organization keeps
MakerOps stores most information on behalf of the makerspace or institution you belong to, and some of it is a record that organization is required to keep for its own safety and compliance obligations. The following is retained by your organization and marked as belonging to a deleted account:
- Waivers and liability releases you signed, with the date signed.
- Training records, certifications, and credentials you were issued.
- Equipment usage, check-in, and attendance history.
To ask your organization to remove those records too, contact its administrator directly. Retention of them is their decision, not ours. See the privacy policy for how we handle information on their behalf.
Coming back later
Deleting your account does not close your organization's MakerOps workspace, and it does not cancel anything your organization pays for. If you want to rejoin later, an administrator has to invite you again, and you will start with a new account.
