SMS terms

MakerOps, a product of Atlanticus Innovations LLC, sends text messages on behalf of the makerspaces and workshops that use our platform. These terms cover that SMS program. Our privacy policy describes how we handle your information.
What we send
Messages are operational, not marketing:
- Waiver signing links, including one-time links sent to a parent or guardian who has been named for a specific signing request.
- Day-of reminders for tours you have booked. You can reply to these messages and your reply is relayed to the makerspace's staff.
- Reminders for training sessions and equipment reservations.
- Account notifications from your makerspace.
This program never sends promotional, affiliate-marketing, or lead-generation messages, and never sends messages on behalf of any business other than the makerspace or workshop you belong to or have booked with. Mobile numbers and opt-in data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Opting in
Members opt in with a separate, unchecked-by-default consent checkbox next to the mobile number field in their MakerOps account settings — providing a number alone never opts you in, and consent can be withdrawn there at any time. Tour visitors who provide a number when booking receive messages about that tour only. Parents and guardians receive a message only when named for a specific waiver request. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of membership or of any purchase.
Frequency, rates, and opting out
Message frequency varies with your activity — most people receive only occasional reminders. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.
Reply STOP at any time to opt out; you will receive one final confirmation and nothing further. Reply HELP for help, or contact hello@makerops.ai. You can also remove your mobile number in your account settings.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to your carrier's network availability.
